As many of you know, I love to make cakes; so much so, that I thought I'd dabble with a blog to keep a record of my latest baking efforts! My First Wedding Cake!
This is a picture of the cake I made for my brother and his wife back in July 2009 and was my first attempt at a wedding cake! The bottom two layers were a traditional fruit & brandy cake and the top two layers were a vanilla sponge with raspberry jam and buttercream. The flowers were made from sugar and were hand made over several weeks on the run-up to the big day!
